I feel like the cartoonist is trying to say this as if it’s a bad thing. Like it’s bad that an overwhelming percentage of the American population isn’t dying on a foreign field. The intervention in WWII was largely justified due to Germany and Japan invading their neighbours, the current US wars are fought mostly for the hell of it. You really can’t compare the conflict then and the conflict now.

I don’t like the game series, though, the plot is just rehashed cold war paranoia, to the point where they had to create an alternative timeline where the Russians are still communists in the near future.

I didn’t find an over the top enough Veteran’s Day cartoon, they were mostly tasteful enough this time around. I’ll just weigh in to say, that the whole “Thank US veterans for your freedom” is a complete non-sequiter to anyone who knows a bit about history. At what point was the US consitution and Bill Of Rights under threat from foreign forces? The freedom of Americans is more often under threat from their own leaders.
